1.1 Personal information. We may collect personal information that you provide directly when using the Services — such as your name, email address, username, password, address, date of birth, phone number, and other information you choose to provide.

We may collect certain information automatically when you use the Services, including your device information (such as your IP address, device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers), log data (such as the date and time of your access, app features or pages viewed, and app crashes), and location information if you enable location services.

- Personalise your experience with the Services.

3. Information sharing and disclosure
3.1 Service providers. We may engage trusted third-party companies and individuals to perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, data analysis, customer support, and marketing. These service providers may have access to your personal information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
3.2 Legal requirements. We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests from public authorities (e.g. court or government agencies).
3.3 Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. AI assistant
4.1 Opt-in by request, not by default. The Services include an optional AI assistant (the "AI Assistant") that can summarise the health of your chain, suggest next steps, surface issues, explain tasks, and draft polite nudges. The AI Assistant is off when you are not interacting with it — it does not watch, scan, profile or learn from your activity in the background. It only runs when you tap one of its features (for example the ⭐ button on the chain screen).
4.2 What the AI Assistant sees. When you request assistance, we send a single, minimal snapshot to our AI provider for the duration of that one request. The snapshot contains only what is needed to answer your question:
- The structure of your chain (number of properties, member roles, health score, mood signals).
- The task list and progress for each property in that chain.
- A coarse role tag for you (e.g. buyer, seller, agent) so the reply is framed for your perspective.
We do not include free-form messages, contact details, document contents, payment information, or any property data from chains you are not a member of. Property names for chain entries you are not a direct participant in are redacted before the snapshot leaves your device.
4.3 You can switch it off. The AI Assistant is a feature you control. To turn it off entirely, go to Menu → Preferences → AI assistant in the iOS app and toggle "Enable AI assistant" off. With the master switch off, the AI button is hidden, no chain or task data is ever sent to the AI provider, and the AI sub-features (summary card, voice read-back) are disabled.
4.4 Providers and processing. The AI Assistant is powered by Anthropic's Claude models (via Amazon Web Services). Voice read-back is powered by Amazon Polly. Requests are processed inside the United Kingdom / EEA AWS region we operate in. We do not use your chain data to train any AI model, and our providers are contractually prohibited from using submitted content to improve their own models.
4.5 Guidance, not advice. AI Assistant responses are guidance and a starting point. They are not legal, financial, or professional advice. Always confirm anything important with your solicitor, estate agent, mortgage broker, or other regulated professional before acting on it.
5. Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
6. Children's privacy
The Services are not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us and we will take steps to remove such information and terminate the child's account.
7. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting the revised version on our website or within the App. The updated Privacy Policy will be effective as of the date stated in the revised policy. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
